Hi, I'm Jessi!

Girl walking through golden field

I’m a crisis mental health professional embedded with law enforcement in Snohomish County, Washington, and negotiator with our regional SWAT team. I’ve had the pleasure of being featured in over 200 media outlets and speaking about de-escalation and suicide prevention on dozens of stages around the world. My educational background at the undergraduate and graduate level focuses on trauma psychology and crisis intervention – that’s my jam! Outside of work, you’ll find me running Spartan races and hanging out with my dog and best friend, Phoebe.

I also like to talk. A lot.

My first time in front of a microphone was when I was thirteen. I was so dang nervous that I convinced my friend to give the speech with me. We alternated lines. It was bad. I’m proud to say that my public speaking skills have since improved, and I’ve had the opportunity to present to groups around the world on the topics of mental health and suicide prevention. I’m currently taking bookings for 2026, and I’d love to add your team to the schedule!

And write. I do that, too.
